![]() ![]() Appreciate the effort that goes into them. ![]() I remember reading some of your earlier posts about hockey, and the Super Bowl. The stream they are providing to streaming services and cable tv providers is just as bad as the OTA broadcast. All of this bandwidth used to be used for one HD channel. For example, the NBC affiliate (WCAU) broadcast is sharing bandwidth with 4 SD channels and another HD channel. I'll start: The network affiliates in the Philadelphia market are providing a substandard service. Maybe we can leave the "it's the bitrate" thing behind and start naming the local network affiliates, cable tv networks, ISPs, or whatever else is responsible for the low picture quality? Both valid complaints, but one is normal behavior and the other is the service not working correctly at all. It's hard to know if someone is annoyed because they are seeing a 240p blocky mess, or if they are annoyed because the football field is little blurry and lacking detail. Picture quality was essentially the same.įor anyone who is seeing differently it would be great if you can share some images and data so maybe we can get a better idea of what is going on. However, YouTube TV is using a ~50% more efficient video codec. TLDR: During my 30 minute testing window Hulu Live TV did use 22.8% more bits to deliver the same video. I have compared all of the providers multiple times over the past few years and this didn't match up at all with my experience so I decided to take a deeper look. There have been a lot of comments recently about how "YouTube TV's bitrate is too low" and that this is the reason for all of the issues people are having with the service. Is there a way for me to find the source of the 192.168.1.◈ Rules ◈ FAQ ◈ Continue Watching: a Streaming TV Community ◈ Welcome to r ̸ YouTubeTV I try to capture the packets on the network to show me if there are DHCP offer's coming from multiple IP's but I just see the one server which is my Domain Controller / DHCP server all in one. When I did a capture, from this you tube video, I only see the one DHCP server on the network.Īny ideas on what could be handing out 192.168.1.1 DNS server IP to the workstations DHCP wise to client systems? It appears to have started after connecting the voice network to the data network.Ĭurrently we have unplugged all Comcast voice services and we have plugged in the Polycom 401's and 600's. I have rebooted the firewall and switches. Sometimes though it doesn't release 192.168.1.1 right away. If I release and renew, it comes up correctly most times. This happened after I plugged phones into the data LAN yesterday.Įvery 15-20 minutes this morning I have had to go back and release and renew on the client systems to get them to where they are not looking at 192.168.1.1 (Fortigate) to 192.168.1.210 The DNS address on the client systems is changing from the current DHCP/DNS server 192.168.1.210 over to 192.168.1.1 which is my Fortigate Firewall. When I did this, it would appear that there is a rogue DHCP server on the network. ![]() On the network, I have switched over the voice switches to the data network as of yesterday morning. ![]()
